Name: Ding Yi. Nickname: Ding Grab-Grab. Hobby: Specializing in subduing any form of resistance. "I am Ding Yi from Dongning, I believe in persuading others through virtue, don't push me into a corner, because when I get riled up, even I am scared of myself."
On the first day of the new semester, a new student transferred to Grade 3
Class 6
at the city high school.
This newcomer was rather rustic in appearance. In the sweltering heat of September, he wore a long-sleeved beige shirt, without rolling the sleeves up. He wore a pair of loose shorts and a pair of slippers on his feet. He carried a big earthy yellow backpack.
Were it not for his clear brows, bright eyes and rather youthful face, everyone in class six would have thought him to be a migrant worker who had just arrived in the city.
Even the class teacher, Mr. Liu Chengzhi, examined the new student with a frown.
After a quick glance up and down, he waved his hand dismissively and told the student, "Introduce yourself to everyone."
Upon hearing this, the boy smiled slightly at the crowd, immediately brightening the faces of the female students.
This smile, full of sunshine and charm, seemed to have reversed the boy's entire image.
"Hello everyone, my name is Ding Yi, as in the 'Ding' from 'Ding-Dong', and Yi from 'willpower'. I transferred from No. 3 Middle School in the city. I look forward to getting along with all of you." After finishing, Ding Yi made a bow to everyone.
As soon as his voice fell, the glamorous class president, Xia Chuhuo, stood up from her seat and started clapping.
Clap, clap, clap - the sound of enthusiastic applause filled the classroom.
With a smile, Ding Yi noticed that the ones clapping were mainly girls. Many boys were head-down on their mobile phones, not even bothering to look at him.
Meanwhile, in the back left corner of the classroom, a group of five-six boys huddled together, discussing Ding Yi.
The boy sitting in the center was Song Ji, the assistant class president. His father happens to be the deputy director of the North Dongning City Education Bureau. He comes from a wealthy family, studies well, and looks handsome. He's someone that many boys and girls in the class look up to. Naturally, he assumed the role of the "big boss" among the boys of class 6.
Seeing Ding Yi introducing himself and being warmly applauded by the girls, Song Ji felt uncomfortable. In disdain, he muttered, "What's the big deal? The girls seem to love this guy."
"One country bumpkin. Boss, don't bother with him." One of Song Ji's followers, Wei Xin glanced at Ding Yi, "In a few days, he will know who the real 'big boss' of this class is."
"Boss, boss---" Suddenly, a person hurriedly rushed in from outside, squeezing up to Song Ji.
This person was the Chinese Study Monitor, a trusted follower of the headteacher and Xu Jie, who was also one of Song Ji's Four Heavenly Kings. He whispered, "I found out that this kid is an orphan who lives with his uncle. A few days ago, he got into a fight at No.3 Middle School and was persuaded to drop out. Later, he managed to transfer to our school through his uncle's influence."
"Oh, so he can fight? Turns out he's a wild dragon? As the saying goes, 'a dragon dares to cross the river'. Haha." Zhu Jian, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, laughed loudly. But his laughter was full of contempt.
Zhu Jian stood about 178 cm tall and weighed 256 kg. In his eyes, with Ding Yi's skinny frame, he could knock him down with a single punch.
But the strongest among Song Ji's Four Heavenly Kings was not him, but the Sports Commissioner Lu XiaoFang.
Lu XiaoFang often worked out, had well-developed muscles, and his biceps bulged without even flexing. He was the best fighter under Song Ji.
Lu XiaoFang sneered, "A tough dragon? Once he entered our Class 6, even a dragon would have to coil up in front of our boss, and even a tiger would have to kneel."
Seeing his Four Heavenly Kings all speaking out, Song Ji chuckled, "Don't scare him. You are all class officers. This is our new classmate. We should win others over with virtue. Take good care of him."
"Boss is right." "Boss is wise." The four of them quickly agreed, "We should win others over with virtue." They all shared a knowing smirk. Everything was left unsaid.
While they were discussing, ding-ding-ding, the bell for class suddenly rang.
The students all rushed to their seats.
The head teacher, Liu Chengzhi, raised his hand and pointed to the back, "There's an empty seat at the back." He then ignored Ding Yi and turned to leave.
Ding Yi raised his head, waiting for everyone to settle in their seats, and noticed that there were three vacant seats in the very middle at the back. Without knowing which one Liu Chengzhi was pointing at, he slowly walked over with his backpack.
The class had desks arranged in pairs. To the left, one desk was occupied by a large and chubby boy, leaving the adjacent desk empty.
The two desks on the right were both unoccupied.
"Are both seats over there empty? Isn't that against the rules?"
Ding Yi thought for a moment, smiled at the chubby boy, and walked towards him.
He wanted to sit at this spot because it seemed that this chubby boy was quite naive.
Unexpectedly, as Ding Yi approached, the chubby boy suddenly lifted his foot and stomped it down on the stool where Ding Yi wanted to sit.
"I'm sorry, I'm used to sitting alone."
The chubby boy stared provocatively at Ding Yi, his eyes brimming with arrogance.
This chubby boy was none other than Zhu Jian, a henchman under Song Ji.
He didn't say the seat was taken, but said that he was used to sitting alone, clearly trying to embarrass Ding Yi and not letting him sit.
Ding Yi stood rooted to the spot, holding his backpack and sizing up Zhu Jian.
Song Ji and Wei Xin were also watching Ding Yi, curious about his reaction.
The classroom suddenly fell into a deathly silence, the atmosphere somewhat tense.
After looking at each other for a few seconds, Ding Yi smiled slightly: "No problem, I'll sit here." He carried his backpack to the two desks on the side.
"What kind of 'Fierce Dragon' is he? He's nothing more than a coward." Lu Xiaofang, who shared a desk with Song Ji, saw that Ding Yi didn't dare to sit next to Zhu Jian, immediately turned her head and spat on the ground: "Pah! Fierce Dragon? A small earthworm is more like it!" The crowd looked at him with utmost contempt.
At this point, Ding Yi didn't realize he had already been labeled a coward in the eyes of others. He had just arrived in a new environment, put down his backpack and took out his belongings.
Why hasn't my deskmate arrived yet? Classes have already started! He wondered.
Suddenly, click, click, click. The sounds of fast-paced high heels echoed in the quiet classroom.
A teacher was coming? In high school, only the teachers wore high heels.
He looked up and saw a beautiful young girl, about 1.65 meters tall, sprinting from the door towards the back.
The beauty wore a white cartoon round-neck short-sleeved sweatshirt. A very cute rascal bunny was printed on her chest. She was in low-waist black jean shorts that ended above the knee, revealing her long, captivating legs.
What drew all eyes was not just her super short hot pants, but also the pair of high heels she wore.
Click, click, click. The beautiful girl raced in, plopped down beside Ding Yi, and a strong sweet scent wafted over. It made Ding Yi feel slightly dizzy.
She behaved as if Ding Yi wasn't there, lifted a leg, and released her foot from the high heel, then threw it heavily on the table.
She frowned, squeezing her foot with one hand, seemingly uncomfortable.
Ding Yi sat next to her, smelling her enchanting scent, looking at her lifted leg, less than ten centimeters from his knee.
Ding Yi could even see the side of her thigh, a flurry of snowy white, entirely enticing.
"Gulp" After watching for a long time, Ding Yi couldn't help but swallow.
The girl seemed totally oblivious to Ding Yi, as if he were transparent. She twisted her foot for a while, then switched to the other foot, removed the other high heel, and threw it on the table. The throw was so heavy this time that the shoe hopped onto Ding Yi's desk.
The girl continued to disregard him, lifted her other leg, and gave it a squeeze.
Ding Yi, looking at the high heel in front of him and then back at Du Yi, wondered if he had seated himself at the wrong spot. Was his desk mate a girl?
Du Yi had been sitting there for three minutes, without ever glancing at Ding Yi once.
Ding Yi was completely ignored as if he was invisible.
Du Yiyi twisted her ankle and finally stopped. Then she reached under the table and took out a pair of flat sandals. She put them on quickly, then reached for two high heels.
Her hand reached in front of Ding Yi and took his shoes from his desk without a glance. She tossed them directly into the desk.
"Sigh." After changing her shoes, Du Yiyi let out a long sigh, supporting her chin with her right hand, staring blankly ahead, her eyes dull, seemingly pondering something.
Ding Yi stared at her as if she was some sort of fascinating creature.
Du Yiyi was very pretty, with a very delicate face and a slim and slender figure. If there was any flaw, it was probably that she was not fully developed yet and her bust was a little small.
However, sitting next to her, Ding Yi estimated she was at least a 35B.
Du Yiyi treated him as if he was invisible, and he happily feasted his eyes. Suddenly, as if she noticed his presence, she swiveled and furrowed her brow, "What are you staring at? Haven't you ever seen a beauty?"
"I..." Ding Yi hadn't thought of an answer yet.
"You're the new one?" A strange color flashed in Du's eyes as she looked Ding Yi up and down.
"Hello, I'm Ding Yi," Ding Yi quickly said.
"I've heard about a new transfer student. I'm Du Yiyi, just call me Yiyi," Du's face suddenly brightened and she gave Ding Yi a sweet smile. Ding Yi's heart raced, and his expression turned goofy.
"Oh, wait a minute." Suddenly, Ding Yi sprang up, "I thought this side was for boys. Boys and girls can't sit together, right? I might as well sit with Zhu Jian." He made to stand up.
"It's fine." Du Yiyi abruptly grabbed Ding Yi and yanked him back into his seat. She flashed him a charming smile, "It's allowed in our class. The homeroom teacher won't say anything. Don't treat me like a girl."
"Is that even possible?" Ding Yi was skeptical. High school students aren't allowed to date now, let alone sit together as boys and girls.
"Who would have thought first Middle School would be more open-minded than Third Middle School when we were students!"
"Welcome to our class," Du Yi extended her hand in Ding Yi's direction.
The enthusiasm was infectious. Who would have thought that the beauties of the First Middle School were this warm? Ding Yi was a bit excited and hastily extended his hand.
Their hands met in a light grasp. Du Yi's hand was so soft and delicate that it had Ding Yi slightly lost in his thoughts.
"I'll treat you to barbecue, after our night studies." Du Yi seized the opportunity.
Isn't she too enthusiastic? Ding Yi was a bit embarrassed. He wanted to say, "I'll treat you," but then realized, "Wait, I'm broke." The words died down in his throat.
"Don't be shy, next time you can treat me," said Du Yi, patting Ding Yi's shoulder quite generously.
Before Ding Yi could react, she said, “Let's settle on this. I'm going to take a nap, wake me up when school is over,” she crossed her arms and went off to sleep without waiting for his consent.
Ding Yi, scratching his head, got a promise for a barbecue dinner out of nowhere, from a stunning beauty. Happiness had come too abruptly.
In the second period, Du Yi continued to sleep, like a sleep deity.
Very miraculously, the moment the bell went off, signifying the end of school, she jumped up without Ding Yi waking her.
"Wow, school is over," said Du Yi, swiftly changing into her high heels from her slippers, that she tossed back into the drawer, patting Ding Yi simultaneously.
"Quick, follow me, and don't wander off."
"Oh," Ding Yi nodded, somewhat clueless.
There was a heavy footfall of students as classes ended. Ding Yi followed Du Yi Yi out quickly, and in a short span, they navigated their way to the school gate.
"Do you know how to ride a motorcycle?" Du Yi Yi asked Ding Yi.
"I have never tried it,” replied Ding Yi, avoiding answering whether he knew how to ride or not.
Furrowing her brows, Du Yi Yi replied, "Follow me."
They walked a few tens of meters ahead.
"Yi Yi, Yi Yi,” a group of five people called out from the crossroads ahead.
They had three motorcycles parked amongst them. On closer inspection, Ding Yi saw that they were all around eighteen to twenty years old, composed of three women and two men. The women wore heavy makeup, resembling young societal misses.
They were clearly not students but ordinary people from the community.
"Give it to me." Du Yi Yi took over a motorcycle, skillfully donned the helmet, and gestured to Ding Yi to get on.
Ding Yi was puzzled but didn’t ponder over it much before sitting behind Du Yi Yi.
"Hold on tightly, we're going to a barbecue.” The motorcycle roared to life, and the group of young women and men cheered and whooped as they raced off.
Du Yi Yi drove fast, quickly reaching speeds of eighty miles per hour.
Ding Yi squinted against the wind, his body leaning backward. He wanted to hold on to Du Yi Yi but felt shy to do so.
The motorcycle's engine roared as they continued to ride.
The wild wind brushed against Ding Yi, causing him to feel slightly trance-like.
Although he couldn't hold Du Yi in his arms, he could see her from behind. Du Yi had a slim waist and fair skin. The summer clothes were naturally scarce, he could even glance at the sexy curves behind Du Yi's skirt.
What a wonderful day it was, Ding Yi's mind was disrupted, he didn't expect his first day at the new school would be so wonderful.
If possible, Ding Yi wished the motorbike ride would never end.
However, less than ten minutes later, the motorbike slowed down and then stopped in an alley behind a shopping center in the northern district of the city.
Ding Yi knew this place, there were many barbecue stands, the business was good every night.
Everyone got off the vehicle, Du Yi naturally held Ding Yi's hand, others following her into the dark alley.
Through the alley, there was a barbecue stand, several tables were already occupied by men and women, all very young. Two of them even had tattoos on their arms, very much like movie hooligans.
"Miss Du, you're here for barbecues again today," the lady boss greeted Du Yi familiarly.
As Ding Yi looked up, he saw the lady boss was about thirty, with a refined and pretty appearance, a lithe figure, exuding the charm of a mature woman, especially her voluptuous chest, provoked infinite musings.
Ding Yi's eyes lit up, he secretly swallowed his saliva. However, before he could take a closer look, Du Yi suddenly turned him around; with a smack, she kissed him straight on the lips.
